The First Meeting of the Council of the Faculty of Dentistry for the Year 2026

The first meeting of the Council of the Faculty of Dentistry for the year 2026 was held today, Thursday, January 1, 2026, in the presence of the following council members:

1. Dr. Hossam Al-Ajili – Dean of the Faculty
2. Dr. Salem Al-Sadeq – Head of the Quality Department
3. Dr. Khaled Shaaban – Head of the Prosthodontics Department
4. Dr. Abdullah Ashour – Head of the Basic Sciences Department
5. Dr. Abdelhakim Al-Talib – Head of the Conservative Dentistry Department
6. Dr. Ilham Abdel Salam – Head of the Oral Medicine Department
7. Dr. Asmaa Ashour – Head of the Medical Sciences Department
8. Dr. Madiha Qadmour – Head of the Oral Pathology Department
9. Dr. Rajaa Fadl – Head of the Oral Biology Department

Meeting Agenda:

A number of academic and administrative items were discussed, the most notable of which were:

1. Follow-up on the progress of academic lectures in accordance with the approved academic plan.
2. Discussion of the commencement of scientific workshops and the preparation of an appropriate timetable for them.
3. Initiating the preparation and development of the Faculty’s strategic plan for the year 2026.
4. Discussion of a school visitation program to conduct dental checkups for school students, as part of community service and strengthening the Faculty’s societal role.

At the conclusion of the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of following up on the implementation of the agreed-upon decisions and enhancing coordination among the various departments in order to achieve the Faculty’s objectives during the year 2026.
